Every Harvest Moon game on Switch
Natsume’s Switch catalog began with Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition in 2018, followed by the spin-off Harvest Moon: Mad Dash in 2019. Harvest Moon: One World arrived in March 2021, and The Winds of Anthos launched in September 2023. Home Sweet Home moved from mobile to Switch in 2025.
Natsume’s Cozy Bundle followed on July 31, 2025, putting the 3DS games The Lost Valley and Skytree Village on one Switch cartridge with their DLC. Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea launched on October 15, 2026, on Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Switch now has more of Natsume’s Harvest Moon games than any other console.
Which Harvest Moon on Switch is newest?
Echoes of Teradea is the newest entry and the only Harvest Moon with a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. The base Switch version costs $49.99, while the Switch 2 Edition costs $59.99 and advertises better resolution, frame rate, and loading. Nintendo also lists an Upgrade Pack for owners of the base game.
Early reviews call it a step up from The Winds of Anthos, with a denser world and stronger animal companions. Critics also note familiar visuals, and one Switch 2 review reports frame drops. Read our Switch 2 vs Switch comparison before choosing an edition.
Where should a new player start?
Start with Echoes of Teradea if you want the most current systems and a large world to explore. Its farm loop is approachable, and animal companions add an exploration layer that older entries lack. Reviewers do warn that the opening hours give little direction, so keep a beginner guide handy.
If you prefer a smaller, quieter farm, the Cozy Bundle’s 3DS-era games focus more on classic farming. The Lost Valley lets you reshape the land around your farm, while Skytree Village centers on restoring the land around sacred trees. Both are older designs, so expect simpler presentation.
One World and The Winds of Anthos
One World introduced the travelling, multi-region structure that later games built on, but it received a weak critical response at launch. The Winds of Anthos turned that idea into a larger open world in 2023, with villages to restore across the map. Echoes of Teradea builds directly on Anthos, and reviewers describe it as the more refined version of that formula.
If you already own Anthos, expect Echoes of Teradea to feel familiar in look and controls. Video Chums says it adds more vertical terrain, livelier towns, and better-balanced stamina. The same review notes that some Anthos DLC features, such as camping, are part of the new base game.
Harvest Moon on Switch vs Story of Seasons
Many players searching for Harvest Moon on Switch actually want the original Bokujō Monogatari series. Since 2014, those games have been released in the West as Story of Seasons by Marvelous and its label XSEED. Natsume kept the Harvest Moon name and now publishes its own separate games under it.
Story of Seasons titles on Switch include Friends of Mineral Town, Pioneers of Olive Town, and the Grand Bazaar remake, which also has a Switch 2 version. Neither series is the wrong choice, but they are different design lineages. Our Story of Seasons vs Harvest Moon guide explains the split in more detail.
